I. Overview
VIB-4a Digital Vibration & Noise Meter is a new measuring instrument developed by Xingsheng based on the vibration methodology recommended by ISO/TR7849, the national requirements of GB/T 16539-1996 “Acoustics – Measurement of Noise Source Power Level with Vibration Velocity Method – For Enclosed Machine” and state-of-art computer technologies, which integrates the measurement of vibration and noise.
Without the impact of ambient background and noise or the investment in the setup of anechoic room, VIB-4a Digital Vibration & Noise Meter is applicable to motor, electrical appliance, refrigerator and other electrical products running under extreme conditions inapplicable to sound level meter, such as loud external noise, strong reflection, unstable environment or insignificant sound.
According to the requirements of GB/T 16539-1996 on instruments, we embed the curves of vibration radiation efficiency of motor, electrical appliance and refrigerator acquired in tests, into the vibration meter, in the form of weighting network, so that it can directly measure the sound power level of the machine.
The instrument features the alignment of “Sound Source Size”, which adjusts the instrument depending the specification and size of the product, and ensures the accuracy of the measurement. In addition, it is also equipped with an alarm to alert any excess beyond the measurement range.
With advanced computer technology built in VIB-4a, the chip microcomputer controls all buttons and improves its accuracy and reliability. Moreover, the LCD display and the fonts of Chinese characters ease up its application under different industrial and mining conditions.
